This specification defines a Proxy Ident Function Block (PIB) for Radio Frequency Identification Systems and Barcode Readers. This PIB supports configuration of Ident Units, reading and writing data as well as status and command handling. The PIB is defined according the international standard for programming languages of PLCs IEC 61131 3.
