The PROmesh P20 is equipped for the increased performance requirements in the PROFINET and conforms to Conformance Class B requirements. This functionality makes it possible to integrate the switch into the automation system (Step7, TIA portal) by an engineering tool in order to make a comprehensive network diagnostics not only in the webinterface but also in automation system feasible.
With its optimized shielding contacts in the RJ45 jacks and the leakage current monitoring, the PROmesh series not only meets the requirements for the PROFINET functionality but also fulfits highest demands for EMC restistance In the industrial environment. That is why is can also be employed in areas with heavy electro-magnetic loads.
In addition, many useful management functions such as IGMP snooping, VLAN, QoS, SNMP, bandwith management and alerts via email or relay output can be used. The switch has a Network-Adress-Translation-Port (NAT) which is able to connect PCs or control systems separate from other networks or outside the operational technology LAN. The enterprise MIB, which outputs the diagnostic values of the switch as well as the leakage current values, provides meaningful and simple monitoring solutions.
