AI581-S (-XC) – Safety analog input module, PROFIsafe V2

4 safety analog input channels up to SIL2 or 2 safety input channels up to SIL3, current (0...20mA, 4...20mA) independent configurable, noise rejection (50 or 60 Hz), 14 bit resolution.

24 VDC Process supply voltage, galvanic isolation per module, 1/2-wire connection, I/O module for local expansion (ABB AC500 only) or remote with PROFINET Communication Interface modules (CI501-PNIO, CI502-PNIO, CI504-PNIO, CI506-PNIO or newer modules).

Terminal Unit TU582-S (-XC) shall be ordered separately.

Available also as XC (eXtreme Condition) version. XC series has a wider temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) and a higher vibration resistance (4 g RMS vibrations up to 500 Hz, 2 g sinusoidal vibrations up to 500 Hz) and meets tougher EMC requirements (EN 61000-4-5 immunity from surge voltages, EN 61000-4-4 immunity from electrical fast transients/burst). Furthermore, the new series is less sensitive to hazardous gases (G3, 3C2: H2S, SO2/SO3, Cl2, NOX) and salt mist (EN 60068-2-52, EN 600-68-11) and is reliable at heights up to 4,000 m above sea level.
